We believe the most secure way to handle your sensitive documents is to **never have access to them in the first place.**
Our Security Model: 100% Client-Side Architecture
Your files are NEVER uploaded to our servers.
Our security is not based on "secure servers" or "promises to delete" your files. Our security is based on an architecture that makes it *impossible* for us to access your files.
- No File Uploads: When you "open" a file in our tools, you are opening it locally from your computer. It never travels over the internet to us.
- In-Browser Processing: All processing (merging, redacting, signing, etc.) is done using JavaScript and WebAssembly libraries that run entirely within your web browser (on your device).
- No Data Transmission: Because the file stays on your computer, there is zero risk of it being intercepted by a "man-in-the-middle" attack during an upload.
- No Server-Side Breaches: Our servers cannot be hacked to reveal user documents because **we do not store any user documents.** There is nothing to steal.
- No Employee Access: We cannot access your files. Our employees cannot see your data. This is not a "policy"—it is an architectural impossibility.
The Problem with Server-Side "Security"
Other online PDF services require you to upload your confidential document to their server. They *promise* to use secure encryption (TLS) during the upload, and they *promise* to delete your file after a few hours.
This model requires you to trust them completely:
- You must trust that their servers are perfectly secure from hackers.
- You must trust that no rogue employee will access your file.
- You must trust that their "automatic deletion" process works perfectly and is not just a marketing claim.
We believe this is a fundamentally broken and unnecessary security risk.
